On Friday I went to Chloe Dao’s Lot 8 fashion show at Hotel ZaZa. I guess it was kind of exclusive. I hung out with the models in the hair and wardrobe rooms, mostly. One of the models I met just turned 13 and she was like 5′7″, about my height. Another model I met was only 15. She looked 21. They all wore heels and they got up to like 6′ tall and it was ridiculous. I watched a lot of models use double stick tape to have their boobs adhere to their open chested wardrobes so the wouldn’t blow’em open.
I was sitting in the hotel room with around 12 models and Chloe came in to announce that hair, makeup, and wardrobe surprisingly finished one full hour before they had to walk on the runway so she told them all to stand up if they were were already changed into the show’s wardrobes to avoid wrinkles. All the models stood up and after a few minutes, Chloe said that the show wasn’t going to start until a pretty long time so she decided that all the wardrobes should be steamed again. So without any warning, all the models around me started getting naked. I didn’t know what to do; it was so surreal. Why would a 17 year old boy be surrounded by naked models in a posh hotel room?
Life is pretty fucking great.
