That Spanish III final was amazing. I really wish the plan to take off our pants and wear them on our heads to get a guaranteed 100 would’ve worked. It almost did. Almost.
The physics final scared the hell out of me! I need to tattoo the formula for the Doppler Effect on my arm so I won’t forget it.
I’m trying to help Dmytro get his citizenship/Green Card (he’s Ukrainian) but this permanent residence form is complicated and 11 pages long.

Remember that time I was really into the Morton Salt Girl?
I still think this Richard Peabody poem is awesome:
I’m in Love With the Morton Salt Girl
I’m in love with the Morton salt girl.
I want to pour salt in her hair and watch
her dance. I want to walk her through the
salt rain and pretend that it is water. I want to
get lost in the Washington Cathedral and follow her
salt trail to freedom.
I want to discover her salt lick in the forests of Virginia.
I want to stand in line for hours to see her walk on in
the middle of a movie only to have the film break and watch salt
pour out and flood the aisles. I want to sit in an empty theater
up to my eyeballs in salt and dream of her.
When I go home she will be waiting for me in her white dress
and I will drink salt water and lose my bad dreams.
I will seek the blindness of salt, salt down my wounds,
hang like a side of ham over the curtain rod in the bathroom
and let her pour salt directly on my body.
When she is done I will lick her salty lips with my tongue
and walk her down the stairs into the rain, wishing that I
could grow gills and bathe in her vast salt seas.
Boy does school suck! Nelson and I have been skating (shredding the gnar) every other day for about an hour or so. We’re having way too much fun. When we’re in English class we just stare out the window, wishing we were shredding the gnar instead of talking about Coleridge and Wordsworth, despite our interests in opium. I’m thinking of starting the most amazing skate club ever where everyone drinks Dr Pepper and shreds the gnar while listening to A Tribe Called Quest. It will be called the Shredding Gnarwhals.
Andrew’s working on his bike-boat right now but I lost interest in mine so I abandoned it. He’s probably gonna abandon his pretty soon. Right now I’m restoring a JVC 1983 ghettoblaster. Once I’m done with that I’m thinking about either restoring an old Peugot road bike or building a digital projector, whichever comes first.
I can’t wait til Andrew, Arie, and I go to Austin next week. And I can’t wait to start working on the next issue of the zine. It will be on GLOSSY! And instead of being hand-bound with dental floss it will be stapled!

I just came back from the prom. It kinda sucked. I got in for free, though, and I wore some green Dunks. So that part was pretty cool.
A friend of a friend lent me about $8000 worth of lighting equipment for photography ’cause for some reason I was recruited as a prom photographer against my will but damn that was some nice equipment.

Look at how clean those edges are danggggg.
Anyway I blew off that prom and walked through the hotel corridors and stairwells and some alley type places in between buildings and ended up in some maintenance rooms and some places with pipes and stuff. Eventually I found myself on the roof.
Houston is pretty ugly in the afternoon but dang looking at it from a rooftop at night time is really something else.

Dangggg. Rooftops.
