Low-Lives & High-Fives

I could barely write a grocery list, let alone a weblog.

I haven’t updated in a while. I’ll go backwards.

On Sunday the Storybook Weavers had practice. We tried multitracking the song, one track at a time, but it didn’t work and we ended up spending a few hours on one song and leaving with nothing. Oh well, no worries.

On Saturday I went to some second hand shops and Toys R Us with Sarah so we could buy junk we didn’t need. I walked out with an organ for $33. I brought it to Dylan’s house and he’s buying it. Hey Dylan if you’re reading this then I raised the price to $33 for tax purposes. You can pay in monthly installments with a down payment of $5 minimum. Sarah got Pokemon Snap and wouldn’t put it down for several hours! I managed to steal the controller from her and show off my skillz since I beat it roughly 12 times when I was 11 years old.

The Saturday before that I went to Sarah’s again and we went record shopping and antiquing. They didn’t have the turntable Sarah wanted at Sound Exchange but I did walk out with some records.

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band – Live (1975-1985), five 12″ discs with full color sleeves and original lyrics and photo booklet, $10. What a bargain!

Carter Family 12″ – $6

And a Vindictives 7″.

And a Yaphet Kotto split 7″.

I’m thinking of buying a banjo.

SAVE JUSTIN! HE’S INNOCENT!

This is horrible.

IT SEEMED LIKE YESTERDAY WHEN WE WERE JOKING AROUND IN SCHOOL.

Oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT HICKEY. FROM PETER AND JESSA.

I went to the 4th of July Parade in Bellaire with Sarah. I saw that the Knights of Templar have a float and it reminded me of how much the Freemasons are a bunch of attention-whores which is strange behavior for a secret society. Sarah’s maternal grandfather was a Freemason and after one of the daughters of the members in chapter died in San Antonio of Scarlett Fever, nobody wanted to transport the body back to Houston so the Freemasons arranged for freight trains to do it. What a great story.

I saw people put their American flags on the floor and my middle school debate teacher is running for Congress. I seriously doubt a liberal like him will have a seat in Congress during this time.

Lately I’ve been looking at vintage motorcycles. They’re pretty cheap and maintenance seems a lot easier than a car’s. I want to buy this:

Somebody stop me before I spend $600.
