Low-Lives & High-Fives

I could barely write a grocery list, let alone a weblog.

I think the phrase “folk punk” is kinda ridiculous. But I really like Plan It X, don’t get me wrong, and the music is great but it’s just that phrase that kinda gets to me. It’s either punk or it’s not!

Punk’s dead, you’re next.

I saw the cutest movie ever on Saturday. It’s called Little Manhattan. It’s about these two 11 year-old kids that fall in love in Manhattan and they go on adventures and ride on the boy’s scooter and run around New York City and do cute stuff and it was soo good. It’s about puppy love.

Last night I broke out into hives and I don’t know why! This sucks and is gross. My bought bought me some new guitar strings and a capo and a guitar tuner. The capo is really weird but it’s cool I guess. My mom’s cool.

The Storybook Weavers

Yep so the Storybook Weavers had another one of our weekly practices, made another weekly animated gif, and recorded another weekly song. We covered The Rainbow Connection. It was really hard because we’re still getting used to using the recording equipment. The multitrack recording didn’t work very well so we did the whole song in one take.

Someday we’ll find it, the rainbow connection.
The lovers, the dreamers, and me.

Today was victorious. The Storybook Weavers had our first full practice at Dylan’s house and we recorded this song I wrote. It’s called Snakes on a Plane. Daniel gave me two drumsticks at school because Dylan only had 1 so now he had 3 and was able to play his drums like a man. Jessa was kinda late because they closed the freeway but it was cool. Dylan gave us homemade sourdough bread. It was godly.
